Technical and Environmental Impacts of Coal Waste Used as a Soil Stabilizer in Construction Projects of Forest Roads

Many pozzolans are waste products from industrial processes. Every year a huge amount of coal is gathered the washing plant in Hyrcanian forests Iran. These materials can be used for soil stabilization construction and maintenance projects forest roads. This paper aims to (a) investigate role (CW) as stabilizer (b) determine changes specification regarding environmental pollution different combinations (soil, lime (4 6%) CW (3, 6, 9 12%)). For this purpose, technical analysis laboratory tests were performed. Technical showed that liquid limit maximum dry density decreased with an increase contents. Addition could CBR, UCS OMC. According XRD test, addition size crystals stabilized samples. Environmental use significantly reduced concentration heavy metals such Cd, Cr Pb. Also, all metal concentrations leached samples satisfied required criteria, but increased N, P, K. invasive species consistent calcareous conditions along results, combination one best methods situ remediation. It would, however, better minimum pavement layers access roads due sensitivity.
